Summary: Collection consists of the scrapbooks created by Julia K. Shishkin, 1945-1959. These four scrapbooks of clippings from Santa Fe, New Mexico newspapers, are divided into scrapbooks concerning the growth, effect, and creation of the atomic bomb in Los Alamos, New Mexico (1945- 1957) and the activities and personnel of the Museum of New Mexico (1948- 1959). The Los Alamos scrapbooks include a newsletter from the Association of Los Alamos Scientists concerning the control and use of nuclear power and clippings pertaining to Nagasaki, Hiroshima, and Bikini Island.
